OK, so how do you get rid of stretch marks?

No I did not have a baby, it's just that I used to be fat and I'm not anymore, but now I have stretch marks on the inside of my legs where my fat used to be. How do I get rid of them?
Answer:
Stretch marks are scars. Plain and simple. They will not totally go away, cocoa butter helps the elasticity in the skin, and vitamin E also, Though cocoa butter is an effective moisturizer, no research studies have shown its ability to either prevent stretchmarks, or improve their appearance once a stretchmark has already formed. Various treatments are available for the purpose of improving the appearance of existing stretch marks, including laser treatments, dermabrasion, and presciption retinoids. Few published studies exist for over-the-counter remedies, but two ingredients have shown early promise in clinical research-- darutoside and registril [Sederma Labs[1]]. Used daily for one month, they resulted in significant improvement in the appearance of a stretchmark's length, depth, and irregular surface area. Some cream manufacturers claim the best results are achieved on recent stretch marks; however, few studies exist to support these claims.
There are creams made for this purpose, with Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter. They'll help reduce (but not eliminate) the stretch marks.

sorry hun, stretch marks are permanent, there is a product avon puts out for stretch marks called Re-Fine. It is about the best there is. Stretch marks are like scars they don't go away. if you are avoiding them when you get pregnant, use olive oil to help avoid them. good luck
There are no sure-fire ways to get rid of stretch marks altough there are some products out there that claim that they do. I hear that vitamin E helps with reducing the stretch marks by putting the oil right onto the stretch marks itself.
Just remember, everyone gets stretch marks to some extent due to changes in your weight over time so it's normal. You should just try to keep yourself toned and take at least a 30 minute walk a day. A healthier body can certainly lead to less desirable characteristics.
