1.What are the side effects of someone who takes little water in a day say 3-4 cups?
2. How does it affect a person?
Answer:
Water is needed in helping to support the body in its ability to distribute fats and to metabolize everything. I received a book called "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" from a member of my family and I feel that its really important to stress that when you feel thirsty, the soda pop should not be your first choice! Stick with what hydrates you... WATER.
Water, surprisingly, is being ignored as people are drinking sodas with their meals and visiting coffee houses in between meals. Sodas, coffees and teas are treated by your body as a diuretic and if you don't get any plain water, it further dehydrates you in ways that are quite surprising, as you don't have to feel thirsty to suffer the symptoms of dehydration.
Visit the link for the book and you will gain knowledge on this MD's findings and the provided list of symptoms of lack of water.

death
First, we must remember that there are many sources of water intake, not just pure water form. There is more than 90% water in most fruits, coffee / tea are mostly water, milk and juices are mostly water.
It is not possible for someone to survive for long on just 3-4 cups of water from all sources per day. It will make you dehydrated ad you may turn irritable, tired, feverish and finally collapse or go into a coma.
Drink more water, it is the best way to keep in good shape.
dehydration can cause the body to retain water, and appear bloated
if you dont drink too much water..you will be dehydrated
Dehydration. You can get dizzy, your body may also over heat and you can lose consciousness.
Increased constipation, poor skin turgor, kidneys don't flush enough bacteria out and things along that line.
Kidneys have to work harder to eliminate toxins. You can become dehydrated and weak. Constipation can be a real issue. A normal adult should drink 60 oz or more of liquids a day with a large portion of that being water.
dehydration
weight gain
muscle loss
decreased digestion efficiency
decreased organ function
increased toxin levels in body
joint/muscle soreness
constipation
thirst
increased risk for kidney stones
the list goes on and on
your body is about 70% water
and it uses quite a bit of that in one day
if you don't replenish the water how do you expect it to continue working?
It's bad for your kidneys for one, your body retains poisonious inpurities that need to be flushed out of your body, or you'll start feeling like crap. Dehydration will set in, and will take a toll on your body.
yes, dehydration. Serious dehydration can damage all the organs in your body.
you mean being dehydrating yourself. well you are more prone to being sick and are not flushing out your body waste out. it can make you feel weak and tired cause your body is gonna be weak and tired. your body is 75% composed of water mostly many being in your brain (which is why you dont wanna be dried up) being dehydrated is a bad thing and you will see later on body taking its toll.
I highly doubt you would keel over and die, not right away anyway! Your body needs to replenish the amount of fluids that are going out of your body to remain in homeostasis. Homeostasis is your bodies own way of telling itself that something is wrong. i.e.) if you have an infection... your bodies homeostasis is off and tells your body to spike a fever to fight off the infection. If your not drinking enough fluids it sends your bodies homeostasis off kilter. I'm unsure of where you reside, but with the summer months coming and the weather rising, your body sweats; therefore making you lose water... that's why it is so important to keep hydrated. Is someone not drinking fluids on purpose, or is this just a random question?
I guess my answer to you is this. it's not so much the fact that your not drinking enough fluids. but more the issue that your throwing your bodies "computer" offline!
